Timeline

1.  September 2012-Shaun and I started really talking and praying about adopting.
2.  October 22nd-Applied with Children of All Nations
3.  October 23rd- Accepted!!!! First agency fee due.
4.  October 30th- Signed agency contracts, Sent our agency the "Prospective Adoptive Parent(s) Profile              
     Form" Signed Ethiopian Adoption Service Agreement and sent to our agency
5.  October 30th- Mailer One sent in mail: Copy of driver's license, Power of Attorney form, Privacy
      Waiver, Second payment, and CAN Dossier Expense Retainer.
6.   November 3rd- Completed 10 Hours of online Hague Training and sent to agency
7.   November 16th- Assigned a social worker- began working on collecting paperwork, had awesome
      friend and family members who quickly wrote letters of recommendation for us
8.   November 19th- 1st meeting with social worker and doctor's appointment, for medical form
      Turned in the following paperwork: birth certificates, marriage license, medical exams, employment
      letters, financial statements, documentation of insurance (medical, life, auto, & homeowners), four
      letters of recommendation, local police report, blueprint of our house with color photos,
      and autobiographies for both Shaun and I (About 60-80 questions to each answer about our lives)
9.    November 20th- 2nd meeting with social worker
10.  November 26th- 3rd meeting with social worker
11.  November 29th- 4th meeting with social worker (waiting began for our social worker to write our
       report)
12.  November 30th- Began working on Mailer Two (Dossier Paperwork)
13.  December 3rd- Received written letter of employment verification-(notarized)
14.  December 5th- Medical form notarized (had to find a traveling notary)
15.  December 10th- Ordered certified birth certificates and certified marriage license
16.  December 10th- Contacted bank on written reference letter
17.  December 15th- All but one, of the four, letters of recommendation our notarized
18.  December 18th- Bank reference letter-notarized
19.  December 19th- Received certified copies of birth certificates and marriage license
20.  December 27th- Notarized following paperwork: Tax return information for the past 3 years &
       Financial statement, Power of Attorney (still need two more original copies notarized)
21.  December 30th- Printed letter of insurance letter/signed
22.  January 2nd- Police Report completed and notarized and found out that our tax return and financial
       statement were filled out incorrectly. -ugh. Need to redo.
23.  Oh yeah, and still waiting on our report from our social worker...
24.  February 5th- Received our FINAL HOME-STUDY REPORT!
25.  February 7th- Sent in our USCIS Application
26.  March 12th-  FBI Fingerprinted
27.  April 4th- Received our approval from USCIS!!!
28.  April 4th- Realize we had two documents that needed to be re-done, due to in accurate notary        
        statements...
28.  April 9th-  Sent our Dossier to CAN
29.  April 22nd- Dossier is at the State Department in D.C.
30.  May 21st-  DTE DAY!!!!!!!! :-) Dossier is on track to land in Ethiopia on May 27th.
